Jewish Medley
Depicted in these note cards by artist Bill Giacalone are both the Holocaust and the renewal of the State of Israel – the two seminal events of modern Jewish history. Bill knows what tragedy is, having been one of the first U.S. servicemen to witness the destruction wrought at Nagasaki and afterwards volunteering in the Palmach to fight for a Jewish homeland.
Turtle Light Press has converted the original, large paintings into a series of five note cards, including two scenes of the Warsaw Ghetto, a Hasidic dance, the Wailing Wall and reclaiming the Temple.
