You won’t want to miss it! Please join us for a screening of the poignant documentary remembering Nick Virgilio… by Sean Dougherty at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 7 at Robin’s Bookstore/Moonstone Arts Gallery in Philadelphia. We will have a special reading of sections of the new Virgilio book, Nick Virgilio: A Life in Haiku, a Q & A, an open mike and light refreshments.
In addition, we’ll have a booth at the upcoming Collingswood Book Festival in southern New Jersey from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 6th. This is a big literary event with a small-town, friendly ambience — and all kinds of books, book signings, readings and fun events for all ages. A special tribute to Nick Virgilio will be held in the “Poetry Tent” at noon.
If you would like to hear some of Nick’s poems, buy a copy of the new book for yourself or as a gift, or buy one of the new haiga prints that incorporate artwork of Camden/Philly with Nick’s haiku, please stop by the Turtle Light Press booth. Or write a poem of your own on the “Wall of Haiku” that will be run by the Nick Virgilio Haiku Association.
