INTERNSHIPS
Turtle Light Press occasionally hires interns to learn the ins and outs of small press publishing. Assignments can range from on-line research, data entry, and proofreading to making books by hand, editorial work, and web site maintenance.
Applicants must be willing and able to work for up to five hours per week. Some work can be done at home; other aspects of the job must be done in our offices in Arlington, VA.
While the press does not pay for these positions, our interns have gone on to found their own company or work at larger publishing companies. We are looking for good communicators who are well-organized, meticulous, good writers and designers, and people who are passionate about books and art. Familiarity with Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Excel and Word are helpful.
